Heejae – week 2 – Casa Iguana
Jul 13, 2021
Rain, lido, rain, and lido.
Eating, chilling, drinking, and chilling.
It was the cycle of this week. Between these cycles, I got an interest in lizards which you can see everywhere at San Nazzaro. They are too small to find but if you heard a little noise in a bush around you, it’s them.
They are easily frightened at the slightest sound from us. It makes them quickly run away where they think they will not be seen.
But they left their trace.
Heejae Cho – Week 1 – Apero
Jul 4, 2021
My name is Heejae, I am from South Korea and live in Amsterdam. My base is photography, but I started working with sound and text. Usually, I tend to be an observer rather than a participant. I enjoy perceiving my surroundings and grasp them in my own way.
The first week in Sasso was dramatic no matter how peaceful this place was. Starting with the night I arrived, a week was enough time for lots of unusual things to happen in Sasso. When I am in a memorable moment, the way I prefer to keep it is by recording. Sometimes sounds remind me of everything at once without any visual information. Like taking a picture, I have been recording the surroundings. There were the moments and I played with them.
