Charlotte Pistorius – week 1 – space for the unexpected

July 19, 2022

Hello from the Sasso studio space, my name is Charlotte / I see a lizard passing the doorstep. During the year I develop costumes and stages in theatre contexts / my eyes rest on the blue surface of the lake. On our arrival day the illuminated hazy sky looked like a welcome gesture – from our perspective.

The frescos at San Francesoc in Locarno appeared as a three-dimensional landscape.

I am grateful of new connections from the depth of my hard drive to the surface of my screen occure; the finding of Houses, a book by Thomas Schütte, Benedict hinted me at, is a wonderful link to the matter of scale; on my way to Italy I found myself confused in dimensions already; in Milano I passed by the heart of model making.
